Green India Campaign is a revolutionary campaign dedicated to environmental protection conducted by the Corporate Council for Leadership and Awareness (CCLA). Through this India wide campaign of CCLA, people are being made aware of cycling for their best health along with pollution control. The rapidly depleting ozone layer in the Earth’s atmosphere is becoming a threat to the living beings, for this plantation is the only option, making people aware of the seriousness of this topic and making them aware of plantation.
- Why Green India Campaign
According to a report, 1.67 million deaths in the year 2019 were due to pollution, which is 18% of the total deaths. That is, in India in 2019, 18 percent of the people died due to pollution. If we look at the figures of 2017, 12.4 lakh people died due to pollution in India in that year, which was 12.5 percent of the total deaths in the country. The increasing number of deaths due to ever-increasing pollution shows the need of today’s Green India campaign. - Target of Green India Campaign
Controlling rising pollution is a priority of the Corporate Council for Leadership and Awareness (CCLA) under the Green India campaign. For this, along with the continuous plantation of trees, the work of making people aware about it is also going on continuously.
